She is a black belt in aikido and founder and chief instructor of Portsmouth Aikido , Portsmouth, NH. In addition, her background includes courses with the Harvard/MIT Program on Negotiation and ongoing work and study in Process Work and World Work, developed by Arnold Mindell. With expertise in several best practice communication models, she brings to life key concepts such as self-management under pressure and appreciation of other viewpoints.

Judy is the author of Unlikely Teachers: Finding the Hidden Gifts in Daily Conflict , a book of stories, practices, and inspiration on turning life's challenges into life teachers. The founder of Power & Presence Training in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Judy specializes in innovative workshops to help you and your organization manage conflict, communicate effectively, and co-create a more positive work environment.
